The Surrey Trust League exists to bridge the gap between junior and senior cricket encouraging young players over the traditional ‘colts’ ages to play in competitive matches with and against adults. The games are played in coloured kit with orange balls and stumps and the format has produced some very exciting cricket over the years.
In 2007, the Surrey Trust League winners were Banstead, The Wasim Raja Shield (group runners up playoff) were Cheam and the winners of the newly formed Development League were Old Whitgiftians.
For 2008, the Development League doubles in size to 16 clubs in two zones and we are delighted that the inaugural Surrey Trust Women’s :League has been set up. In all the leagues, the zonal matches are played from April to mid-August and the play-offs and finals take place in late August.
